Adjacent to Nagato Yumoto Onsen, the historic Fukawa Kiln has been shaping the tradition of Hagi ware for over 360 years since the Edo period. It is home to five kilns and eight artisans, preserving and evolving the craft.
On this tour, you will visit the remains of the historic Hagi-yaki Fukawa Old Kiln Site, a designated cultural property of Yamaguchi Prefecture. You’ll also explore galleries and experience a matcha tea ceremony using authentic Fukawa Hagi ware, immersing yourself in its rich history and culture.
