Oyamazumi Shrine Cycling Tour

Ride the world-famous Shimanami Kaido — a breathtaking route loved by cyclists from around the globe — with a local guide leading the way.
Departing from Azumi Setoda, this guided cycling tour takes you across stunning bridges and through the citrus-scented hills of the islands, all the way to Ōyamazumi Shrine, known as Japan’s “Guardian Shrine of All the Nation.”

You’ll climb the Lemon Valley, famous for its vibrant terraced citrus fields, and cross the majestic Tatara Bridge — Japan’s longest cable-stayed bridge — offering sweeping views of the Seto Inland Sea.

The route includes some challenging slopes, making it a rewarding ride for those confident in their stamina and looking for an unforgettable cycling experience.

After reaching the sacred grounds of Ōyamazumi Shrine, take a quiet moment beneath the towering ancient camphor trees — a perfect finish to a day of adventure and discovery.

・Bicycles do not have baskets; we recommend bringing a backpack or crossbody bag.
・Please wear comfortable clothing suitable for cycling. (For your safety, sandals and heels are not allowed.)
・During winter, please dress in layers and bring warm clothing.
・Bring sun protection such as sunglasses or a hat during warmer months.
・Tours may be canceled due to strong winds or bad weather.
