Fukagawa Hagi Experience Tour

— Visiting the Fukagawa Kilns —

Adjacent to Nagato Yumoto Onsen lies the Sannose Fukagawa Kiln area, home to a Hagi pottery tradition that dates back over 360 years to the Edo period. Today, five kilns and eight artisans continue this heritage, creating beautiful ceramic works that feel both timeless and deeply rooted in place.

On this tour, guests visit the historic Hagi-yaki Fukagawa Ancient Kiln Ruins, a designated cultural property of Yamaguchi Prefecture, and explore artisan galleries while learning about the history and culture of Fukagawa Hagi.

Feel the warmth of the clay and enjoy a quiet moment surrounded by the atmosphere of long-standing craftsmanship.
