— Historical Guided Tour —

Dainei-ji Temple is a distinguished Zen temple deeply connected to the Ouchi and Mori clans during Japan’s Warring States period. On this guided tour, a local guide introduces the historical events that unfolded here, as well as the unique relationship between the temple and Nagato Yumoto’s hot springs.

Little known to many, Dainei-ji is also the landowner of the spring source of Onto, the historic bath that has shaped the region’s onsen culture. Learning about this connection offers a deeper understanding of Nagato Yumoto Onsen and its long-standing traditions.
