Step out of the lively Onomichi shopping arcade and into a world where time seems to stand still. This tour takes you through narrow alleys and stone stairways not found in guidebooks, revealing another hidden face of Onomichi.
We will visit story-filled landmarks such as Misode Tenmangu Shrine, known as a filming location for the movie The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, and Tama-no-Iwa Rock at Senkoji Temple, where legend says a glowing orb once appeared at night. After climbing the slopes, a breathtaking view of the Onomichi Channel awaits at the Jodoji Mountain Observatory.
Strolling along the coastal street and local shopping district, you’ll experience the daily lives of residents while feeling the origin of the name “Onomichi,” meaning “tail-like path.” This tour offers a treasure-hunt-like adventure, creating unforgettable memories of Onomichi’s unique blend of history and everyday life.
